Jean Christophe Bédos

Birks & Mayors is one of the most prestigious company in the luxury jewelry industry, and new winds of change are blowing through our Organization. We would like to welcome Jean-Christophe Bédos, our new President & CEO. Jean-Christophe Bédos is known in the industry for his flair, visionary leadership, and capacity for anticipation.

Jean-Christophe Bédos is not only fluent in French and English, but also speaks some Spanish and German. In addition, his education is inspiring, as he holds a Masters of Science in Management from the London Business School, a LLB in International Law from Université Paris I Sorbonne, a BA (Honours) in European Business from Trent University, Nottingham and a Bachelor of Arts from Toulouse Business School.

Jean-Christophe Bédos started his career in the luxury industry at Cartier in 1988. In the field, he is known for his feats of magic because it would seem that everything he touches turns into gold. Indeed, during his recent 7-year mandate (2004-2011) as CEO of French jeweler Boucheron, he managed to make it shine again by solidifying its international reputation, restoring it back to health and repositioning it as one of the most prestigious luxury brand in the world.

Previously, Jean-Christophe Bédos was the Managing Director of Cartier France (2002-2004), and International Executive Manager alongside the President of Richemont International, one of the world’s leading luxury goods group (2000-2002).

Jean-Christophe Bédos, who possesses a rich professional background and extensive experience in the world of luxury jewelry, will undoubtedly be an invaluable asset for Birks & Mayors in terms of growth and recognition of the brand and the Company. Jean-Christophe Bédos himself says, “I am looking forward to building on the Company’s successes, developing our strong brands, and working with a team of dedicated professionals.” We are very pleased to welcome him to our Organization, and look forward to great growth under his leadership.
